The A017900 is the official SIONYX 1050nm Compact Helmet-Mounted Illuminator, a specialized infrared (IR) light source designed to enhance the performance of digital night vision systems in near-total darkness. Unlike standard IR illuminators that typically operate at 850nm or 940nm, this unit uses a 1050nm "out-of-band" wavelength.  This allows users to remain virtually undetectable to traditional night vision devices while maintaining clear visibility of targets.
