Returns, Exchanges, Refunds & Warranties
At ShipSound, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We accept returns and exchanges for most items initiated within 30 days of delivery, provided they meet the conditions below.

Eligibility & Return Window

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery (return must be requested within this window)

Items must be in brand-new, resalable condition with all original packaging, accessories, manuals/documentation, and tags

Returns received in unsellable condition (e.g., missing parts, signs of use/installation, or damage) may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, partial refund or returned to you

Returns without a Return Authorization (RA) number may be delayed or refused
How to Start a Return or Exchange
1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery:

- Email: support@shipsound.com with your order number, item(s), and reason for return

2. We’ll provide an RA number and return instructions (usually within 1-2 business days).
3. Pack securely:

- Place original product packaging inside a sturdy shipping box.
- Do not apply labels/tape directly to the manufacturer's product box (except for oversized items).
- Write the RA number clearly on the outer shipping box and ship to the provided address
- Please keep your return tracking number until your refund is completed

Exchanges: For fastest service, place a new order for the replacement item. We’ll refund the original once it’s received and inspected..
Wrong Item, Damaged in Transit, or Defective Products
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us promptly (within 7 days of delivery) if there's an issue. Include order number, photos (of product and packaging), and description of the damage. Retain packaging until resolved.

Wrong item received (our error): Choose one:

Replacement: We'll ship the correct item ASAP and provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect one (no cost to you).

Full refund: We'll issue a full refund once the incorrect item is returned (prepaid shipping label provided).

Damaged in transit: We'll handle any carrier claim, then replace or refund fully. No cost to you for return shipping.

Defective products (within 30 days): After quick troubleshooting, we'll replace or refund. No cost to you for return shipping
Nonreturnable items
The following cannot be returned for refund/exchange (except where required by law or if defective/damaged on arrival):

Items over 30 days from delivery

Opened/activated/downloaded software, electronic charts, or mapping products.

Opened/registered safety beacons, EPIRBs, or PLBs

Installed, mounted, wired, programmed, cut, or used items (e.g., transducers, radars, audio equipment, radios, lights, cameras, electrical/charging components, or MOB devices).

Return Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees

Non-defective returns: Customer pays return shipping; original shipping is non-refundable.

Defective, damaged, or our error:

We cover return shipping (via prepaid label) - no restocking fee

Restocking/processing fee: A 15% may apply if a return is incomplete, shows use/installation, or is unsellable but accepted. Heavily compromised items may be refused and shipped back at your expense.
Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
Refused deliveries or undeliverable packages (e.g., wrong address, unclaimed) will be returned to us.

Treated as a return: Must meet eligibility (new/resalable condition).

Refund issued minus original + return shipping costs (no restocking fee if resalable).

Warranties
Most products include manufacturer warranties. After 30 days from delivery, defects are handled as warranty claims
