DS18 NXL-8/BK HYDRO 8" 125W RMS 4-Ohm 2-Way Marine Coaxial Speakers with RGB LED Lighting, Matte Black Composite Grilles, Pair

The DS18 NXL-8/BK HYDRO 8-inch two-way marine coaxial speakers are supplied as a pair and offer 125W RMS handling per speaker for open-air boat and powersports audio. The matte black finish, integrated RGB lighting and UV-protected composite grilles combine sound performance with weather-resistant installation styling.

Key Features and Benefits

• Pair of 8-inch two-way coaxial speakers, each rated 125W RMS and designed for a nominal 4-ohm amplifier channel.
• Coaxial high-frequency driver and woofer reproduce vocals, instruments and upper frequencies through a compact multi-driver assembly.
• Integrated RGB LEDs allow lighting color effects with a compatible controller; LED wiring is independent of the speaker signal.
• IP65 water-resistant construction and UV-stable materials suit marine decks, outdoor vehicles and similar exposed spaces.
• UV-protected composite grilles are designed to integrate with the color-matched installation.
• Ferrite woofer and neodymium high-frequency motor elements are identified by DS18 for the NXL marine speaker family.
• DS18 specifies a 25mm high-frequency driver and 93dB sensitivity to help project sound in an open-air cabin or cockpit.

Installation and System Integration

• Connect each speaker to an amplifier channel rated for a 4-ohm load; the RMS figure is per speaker, not the combined pair.
• Follow DS18’s recommended high-pass crossover to manage unwanted low-frequency excursion: 50Hz.
• Provide separate RGB lighting wiring and a conventional RGB controller such as DS18 LC-RGB when independent color selection is desired.
• Cut mounting openings and drill fastener holes using the exact speaker template; protect exposed wiring and seal boat-panel penetrations against water ingress.
